today for the first match. everybody is going
bonkers. i just got a falafel in Vienna and the
Turkish clerk said "have fun watching football!"
nooooooooo. did you see that show on ZDF
yesterday? god. I´ll be forced by Hans and his
gang to watch that second game tonite at some
open-air space....

I have just been to the laundromat while the match is on. :duh: As usual, I'm not interested in the German team. But I don't want to miss England - Paraguay tomorrow..
What show on ZDF? I ain't got no TV any more!
I think either Brazil or Germany will be World Champion. How boring.

So, at this point in the cup, me and what few friends of mine that actually keep up with the world cup are pretty sure this is either Germany or Brazil's year to win it.

Hmmm, no, but the penalty in the last minute against Australia was doubtful.
and now I like our German team more and more! They are amazing, especially Podolski and Klose. But Argentina will be hard to beat on friday..

I got the overall feeling that Germany played a bit unfair during the game but were treated a bit better...the referee could have been more strict so they got away lucky.

I feel sorry for the French and for having
supported the Italians in the first place. Back
then I hadn´t known about that cheating scandal
in the Italian football leage (Juve, wasn´t it?).

But I think Zidane was oh so right to get back to
that pussy - he reminded me so much of Cantona.
Though if he had cooled his heated mind and beat
up that mofo AFTER the match, he wouldn´t have
been given the red card and France might have won...
