I don't know if this is going on at some of your schools, but at mine, if you say something stupid, everyone says "That's a german", and then hits you on the head. Honestly to me, that's offensive and its stupid.

I guess, but "That's gay" is more like "That sucks". Its not like saying "That's a german" which basically translates to "You're a stupid idiot.
